Imagine Yaoshi x Reader x Nanook. With how they act in lores and how there is not much canon information about the personalities + encounters or interactions yet. My brain already has so much ideas about what's gonna happen if we put them both together :)
pairing: nanook x gn!reader x yaoshi (general relationship hcs)
word count: 785
warnings: possible spoilers for hsr !! involves xianzhou stuff iykyk
a/n: it's the way that i knew this would be a request- also this got long i apologize HAHSHSHH
Tumblr media
First off, congrats. I have no idea how you managed to coerce these two into sharing because the last thing either wanted was to share something with the other.
Compromise is absolutely fundamental in this relationship. Yaoshi and Nanook are Aeons whose ideologies are in direct conflict, and you'll have to act as their middle ground. Arguments aren't common (they both believe that they're above such petty disputes), but in the beginning of the relationship, the tension was undeniable.
Nanook firmly believes that civilization was a mistake, and neither Yaoshi nor you can change that. Yaoshi can pout and give Nanook the look all they want, but nothing is stopping Nanook from bringing planet after planet down.
Likewise, Yaoshi's gifts of immortality, along with their side effects of mara, tend to irk Nanook, only furthering their belief that destruction was the only salvation left for the universe (Yaoshi would continue to assert that the mara wasn't their fault).
But when you come into the picture, you force them to put their differences aside - because if there's one thing that the two of them can agree on, it's you. If it's for you, they're willing to push aside their ongoing war with one another. If it's you, they'll ignore the fact that they openly hated the other.
Yaoshi thought that such a cold being as Nanook wasn't deserving of a partner such as you. Nanook didn't love or embrace you like Yaoshi did, didn't cradle and pamper you like the Abundance.
As a result, Yaoshi loved to remind them of their negligence, although now, it's more of a playful jest if anything. They'd whine about how Nanook was barely home, despite Yaoshi constantly being on the run themselves, and the fact that as Aeons, they don't have a set "home".
For the most part, Nanook was unbothered by Yaoshi's remarks, with the most coming out of them being a roll of the eyes. They didn't care how their affection may have come across, the only thing mattering to them was that you were safe and happy.
The two of them used to fight over you all the time - Nanook would often snatch you right off of Yaoshi's lap, and Yaoshi would refuse to hand you over. But soon, they learned to tolerate the other's existence, and eventually that tolerance would turn into a begrudging adoration.
In this relationship, Yaoshi is inertly more affectionate (and possessive) than Nanook is. Nanook isn't... They're not exactly in tune with desires of any kind, much less the kind that comes with a romantic relationship. Yaoshi, on the other hand, is an empathetic soul who loves and sympathizes with creatures from all walks of life.
Yaoshi coddles you, and makes sure that not only are you loved, but that you feel loved. They are gentle and tender with you, often playing with your hands or hair, and pressing kisses wherever they can. They sing you praises to their Disciples and the Denizens, who adore you just as much as their Aeon.
On the other hand, Nanook's "love", if you could even call it that, comes in the form of protection. The Antimatter Legion, when they're not wreaking havoc upon other planets, become your personal bodyguards. Yaoshi in particular takes advantage of this, often using the Legion to fend off any Xianzhou ships looking to hunt them down.
But this isn't to say that Nanook doesn't have their moments. When they manage to pry you away from Yaoshi's arms, Nanook likes to hold you as they go about their business. You'd be laying in their arms, pressed against their chest as you watch the destruction of a planet as you would a movie. Rarely are any words said in these moments, but they are just as intimate as Yaoshi's affections.
The universe knows you as the Mediator, the tamer of the two most hated Aeons in the universe. Being the significant other of not one, but two Aeons certainly comes with its benefits - and that being that practically nothing can touch you. There are some who feel pity for you, others who envy you.
But there are also those such as the Aeon Xipe who are grateful for your existence, for you are responsible for keeping Yaoshi and Nanook in check. In Xipe's eyes, if such opposing Aeons as Yaoshi and Nanook can work in tandem, then there is hope for a unified universe.
All in all, this relationship can only work if each member puts forth the effort to make it work. It's rocky in the beginning, even more so than others, and requires so much more patience. But if you can manage to pull through, the rewards are sweeter than any fruit.

hehe here's this 2k brain rot that @suiana's post gave me (permission proof - not a thief!)
i turned caelus into a they them not sorry. also if the formatting is odd, i’m on my pc and i usually use my phone so.
They’re back.  Again.
March has to stifle the screams of anger she wants to let out as the shackles of stillness finally free her.  Like ice melting Caelus and Dan Heng begin to move around, continuing where they had left them stranded and abandoned, left to stay stagnant at their whim.
The worse thing is that she can’t even complain, not for lack of desire to do so, no, no she physically cannot voice her complaints.  And March knows she isn't crazy, she’s caught the twinge of annoyance in Welt’s eyes when he unpaused; seen the ghost of a scowl on Seele’s face; even the carefully controlled hardened gaze of Dan Heng has cracked before.
The Trailblazer is the only one who hasn’t cracked, obediently stopping when they will them to do so, and ever so happy to come back at their will.  March wants to corner them and ask how and why, if they know what's going on, but alas: she must trot along with her friends at their wicked will.
Dan Heng doesn't know what you are, because surely you can’t be an Aeon.  Aeons don’t hold the powers you do, even if they did surely there would be some record of you in the archives, right?  No Aeon dead or alive has the ability to puppeteer humans, and it frightens him that there is something out there that is using him in such a way.  It embitters him, both the unknown surrounding them and the way he is treated; how his whole world is put on a pause while he remains aware.  Aware of how the breeze stills and the stars stop twinkling, how the world goes silent.  What could hold such power?
A shudder runs down his spine as he follows the Trailblazer’s party.
Welt has witnessed a lot in his time.  Nothing quite like them, though.
Himeko has witnessed a lot in her time.  Nothing quite like them, though.
Bronya, Seele, Sampo, and Natasha have witnessed a lot in their time.  Nothing quite like them, though.
Yukong, Loucha, Fu Xuan, and Jing Yuan have witnessed a lot in their time.  Nothing quite like them, though.
Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf have witnessed a lot in their time.  Nothing quite like them, though.
The different paths they all walk may intervene, as their personalities and beliefs may differ but there is one truth they can all agree on.
They hate you.
Caelus doesn’t.  Rather, Caelus can’t help but love you; you gave them life and led them through their trials.  You keep them safe and armored. You help them find the words to face others when their mind goes blank.
To Caelus you are the world.
The Aeons came to know of you when Dan Heng’s frantic searches focused on them for a little too long.  While he was scanning the records they saw you.  You were intriguing from the get go, a pretty thing, sitting comfortably as a figure in the sky. The Preservation and The Nihility, whose current forms allow for more ease with floating went as far as they could to reach you.
Yet you remain just out of reach of the Aeons.
The Abundance uses one of her many arms to steady herself as she crawls along the very fabrics of their reality to get a closer look at you.  And what a darling thing you are!  Excitement that she hasn’t felt in a long, long time, perhaps for the first time ever fills her up inside.  With a shaky hand, she motions for the other Aeons to take a closer look at you.
From there the… shall we say, worship, began.
Nanook, The Destruction, takes note of your fondness for certain characters, and what his darling likes, he likes, so when the Antimatter Legion he has blessed come across the ones you are fond of, their attacks are lighter and they lose his blessing temporarily.  Sure, he wished some of the gushing from beyond the sky was for him, but you so rarely see his face on the screen (only ever in the Simulated Universe you put that Caelus through) he can’t blame you.
IX, The Nihility, will not change in their ways, not even someone like you can shift the nihilism they embody, but, perhaps you don’t notice it, your teams deal better damage over time, don’t they?  Don’t take their blessings lightly, it took a lot to bring them there.
Yaoshi, perhaps makes it the most obvious (despite you never noticing), your favorite vessels get a wonderfully boosted health bar.  You never knew to question how Blade managed to get nine thousand hit points.
It’s hard to pinpoint who thought of it first, perhaps IX or Fuli, but the Aeons, the strongest Aeons, gathered to pull you down from beyond the sky.  Through a (top secret) ritual you find yourself being hurtled down like a meteor into the freezing snow of the Outlying Snow Plains.
You wake to the kind face of Caelus, which is a bit odd because he’s not supposed to be so… high res.  Or real.
“Are you alright, My Lord?”  The title doesn’t immediately resonate with you, so you disregard hearing it.  When you don’t answer right away they frown in worry, hands moving to yours, gently covering them with their warmth.
“What happened?  Why am I here?”
“You fell from the sky, do you not remember?”
“No,” what sky would you have fallen from?  You tend to stay on the ground.
Caelus worries their bottom lip and helps you sit up.  “Oh.”  There’s a pause.  “Did you not mean to come here? I thought….”
“Hm?” You prod, gently encouraging them to talk.
“I thought you were coming to see me,” their face is tinged pink and facing down in their lap.  Caelus’ hands feel hot and you rush to reassure them.
“I’m glad to see you, but I don’t know how or why I’m here,” you pause, cringing internally.  “Caelus.”  Fuck, that is their name right?  No last minute changes?
Luckily their face lights up when you say it and you find yourself pressed into their soft chest, their arms around you in a bear hug.
“You’re really them.”  A breathy, ecstatic phrase.  Their face buries into your hair and Caelus doesn’t loosen their hold until a knock at their door.
“Trailblazer!  Pompom here, requesting an update on Their Grace’s status.”
Caelus gently detaches themself from you and opens the door to reveal the tiny rabbit-oid conductor.  Pompom bashfully rubs their hands together when they catch sight of you awake and looking at them.
“Hello, Your Grace, Pompom is glad to see you awake and healthy.”
What a cute creature, you think.  “Thank you, Conductor Pompom.”
They let out a squeak at your words and nod.  “Pompom needs to go check in on the other passengers, but let Pompom know if you need anything, okay, Your Grace?”
“Oh, thank you Pompom.”  They hurry away, stubby feet padding quickly down the carpeted halls.  You turn your head to Caelus, “what was that about?”
“Hm?”  Their golden eyes meet yours, head tilting.
“Why did they call me those things, Your Grace?”
“Because you are our God above Aeons.  Do you… were you somehow unaware of that?”
The words hit you like a freight train.  “No, I’m not.”  It’s all you can think to say.
Caelus sits next to you on the bed, placing a hand on your knee.  “Yes you are.  We can feel it.  You are the one that controls this world and gives us life.”
Controls this world… and gives them life… fuck, the game… you’ve been playing these sentient beings.  Your tummy hurts at the knowledge .
“Oh, I’m— I’m sorry.”  Your eyes prick with tears, the gravity of what you’ve been doing; how you’ve dragged these people into battles for fun.  You couldn’t have know, but it doesn’t stop the guilt eating at you.
“No, no, what are you apologizing for?”  Caelus’ hands cup your face, a finger catching the tears that drip over the brim of your waterline.  Their voice drops to a whisper, “please don’t cry, My Lord.”
You suddenly feel very watched, like a million eyes are on you.  Caelus never closed his door.  You look up and catch sight of March 7th’s glare.  The intensity of it makes you flinch back, making Caelus look up, over to:
“March, don’t give them that look.”  They scold the girl, who turns the withering look to them.
“Why are you taking care of that monster?  We told you to leave them to freeze in the snow.”  The words make your heart sink.  Being on this side of such venomous words stings, especially from someone you never would have pegged to be so hateful.
Caelus bares thier teeth, a mix of offense and hurt on their face.  “And I told you I would do no such thing to our God.”
“That is no God.”  Her voice shakes as does her head, before turning around and walking away.
“Don’t listen to her.” Caelus shakes their head in disappointment. “She doesn’t understand what all you do for us.  Please don’t hold it against her.”
They, the Astral Express, do not like you.  Caelus and Pompom do, they hold you in reverence, which is better than how March, Himeko, Welt, and Dan Heng treat you.  It’s all dirty looks and only partially veiled insults.  Caelus gets into arguments with them over you.
You hate to think that you’re harming the friendships between them, and when you brought your concern up, Caelus dismissed you saying you are worth it all.
Yeah, there’s that.  You’ve tried to explain that you are not God, but they won’t hear you out.  :(
It’s a perfectly normal day on the Astral Express when the Aeons come.
Nanook is the first one to descend into the Parlor Car; Caelus and Dan Heng immediately drawing their weapons, The Destruction laughs once, eyes moving to focus solely on you.
“It’s so good to see you, My darling Lord.”  His voice is low and deep, and the gold flowing freely from the wounds (?) on his arms leaves a trail on the carpet as he approaches to kneel in front of you.  From your peripheral you see Dan Heng and Caelus share a look before lowering their respective weapons.
Nanook, you recognize him from the Simulated Universe blessings screen, grabs your hand, gracing the back of your palm with a chaste kiss.  His golden eyes peek up at you from behind long lashes.
“How has the Express been treating you?  I regret not being able to welcome you to this existence, but alas the ritual took a lot out of us…”
What.
“Oh, uh,” your eyes flicker around the cabin nervously.  “I’m doing alright, th-thanks…”
“Now, now, don’t tease the poor thing,” a beautiful woman (Aeon) walks in, one with many, many arms draped in soft looking, white cloth.  Yaoshi’s eyes soften when she meets your gaze.  “Hello, Your Grace, it’s an honor to meet you in the flesh.”
Caelus, Dan Heng, March, everyones’ (save for you and the two Aeons) bodies droop, posture faltering.  IX, The Nihility, has arrived.  An odd feeling, akin to that of a weighted blanket, is pushed onto your body.  It’s them, their astral, cosmic form much smaller than what should be made of their status, laying on your body like a boa.  They don’t speak, though you aren’t  sure they could in this form.
Yaoshi’s eyes flicker with amusement, and Nanook pulls himself up.  “The others were unable to make it, but,” her gaze chills and is directed at the crew of the Express.  “We all wish to make it known that disrespect, anything short of reverence toward Our Grace, will not be tolerated.”
Welt visibly shudders at the threat, and Himeko shares a look with Dan Heng.  They need to reflect on how they feel towards you, tha much is certain.

TW: mild obsession
SUMMARY: Oh, how much they love you. How much they want to just be one with you...
CHARACTERS: Yaoshi x F!Reader
WORD COUNT: 303
Tumblr media
Yaoshi nearly loses themself when they feels your weight in their lap. Their breaths are short and sharp, and a shiver runs down their spine as they struggles to suppress the shudder that runs through their body. Don't you look so cute and tiny in their lap! They can't help but gently caress your face lovingly.
"You're so lovely..." they whispers, barely above a breath, as they caresses your cheek. Even after hundreds of years, millennia even, your beauty still leaves them speechless. They couldn't help themself...they was so greedy...they had to turn you as immortal as they was. Leaving you with iternal pain and horros. But with them by your side, with the aeon of abundance, you have nothing to fear. Even after all those years, the pain that you felt is nothing compared to their ever growing love and adoration.
They continue to lavish your cheek with tiny kisses. They're completely enamored. The scent of your skin drives them into a frenzy, and before they know it, they are already pressing more kisses to your neck. They moans against your skin, their whole body heating up. To think that a aeon like them grows weak for a mere (immortal) human like you...laughable, they can already the other aeons laughing. Do they care? Never...not with their little human in their lap.
"Are you sure you are not the aeon of seduction~?" Yaoshi whispers lowly, their voice thick with emotion. Their eyes are half-lidded, and a fierce blush has spread over their cheeks. A groan rises from their throat as they press more kisses to your neck, moving up to your jaw.
The kisses are gentle, almost worshipful, but as they continues downward, they becomes more desperate, more hungry. It is as though they wants nothing more than to drown themselves in you....

That time I got reincarnated as an Aeon
Chapter One: Fuck it we ball!!
(Series)
Obligatory chapter warning: Violence (there’s a gunfight), description of blood, reader being a liiiitle dubious.
Tumblr media
Maybe you shouldn’t have wondered how the crew even knew.
You had asked in the “acktually☝️” type of way— in layman’s terms, rather awkwardly.
Who could blame you? You were stuck in space with no human interaction for god knows how long with only your fellow eldritch horror looking gods that occasionally passed by for company.
Your brain may be incredibly big and fast now, but it didn’t mean you weren’t any less awkward. (Though you’re pretty sure you speak better than most of the Aeons— however, that’s just your opinion.)
“We could feel your energy.” That’s what Himeko said. “Well— our system did.”
“Okay?” You blinked, but then went cold when you realized having your energy levels out as Himeko told you meant that you were basically walking out with your fly open.
“The influx of energy isn’t allowing us to jump.” She added, and you understood now, it was like coming across a stellaron infested planet, except it’s worse because it’s God— one of them anyways, and not just some random piece of space cancer.
“Sorry.” You blurted out, then had an idea, wondering if that one bit in the show you watched in your world would help. “Can I get out of the train and excuse me for a bit? I’ll be right back, I’ll just uhhh… suck the energy in, if you know what I mean.” You pointed to the open door, and the stop that thankfully no one is occupying.
“Go ahead.” Himeko nodded, and you made your way out.
You took a deep breath and exhaled, then looked side to side to see if anyone is going to see what you’re pretty sure is going to be an embarrassing looking spectacle. Seeing as the coast was clear, you took a deep breath again and scrunched your face in concentration, adapting a kamekameha pose like Veldora had.
You then grasped at your energy that you now saw around you and crumpled it, until it became smaller and smaller to just enough to thankfully pass like a normal Joe.
A Joe that can fight, but a normal Joe regardless.
What you did was just basically return some of the energy you’ve poured into this projection back to your main body, not exactly holding it in. You’ve managed to succeed, thankfully without having to accidentally explode a planet.
You weren’t Nanook, and you weren’t going to plan becoming a 2.0 very soon. And now that you thought about it, you’re pretty sure they hate you— but when do they not hate anything enough to not destroy it?
Brushing your thoughts away, you returned to the parlor car, and Himeko blinked in surprise. “That was quick.” She told you.
“I know.” You said. “It was surprisingly easy.”
If she had seen what the hell you just did outside, she wasn’t going to say anything about it.
(You’re pretty sure she saw that, much to you wanting to shrivel on the inside like a raisin.)
“So uhh… anything else?”
Himself shook her head, then the parlor car door closed.
It was only the start of your journey.
————————
Seeing the stars through the window of the express had been a surreal experience. It’s strange, to be inside of a room— you almost forgot how it felt like to step on the ground or not smelling the radioactive scent of space. The parlor car smelled nice, nostalgic almost.
It was funny that you only took notice of that now when you were left to your thoughts in your projected body.
“I can’t believe I’m missing the smell of air freshener of all things.” You mumbled as you watched Pompom sweep the floors of the parlor.
Welt and Himeko were talking about something behind closed doors— probably about you. Honestly you can’t fault them for that, because even though you’d like to deny it, you were in fact a big deal.
A very big deal. An elephant, an obnoxious colored elephant, in the room.
You just hoped they’d come to a conclusion to give you time just enough to prove you mean well. And you really do mean well.
In the next 168 hours (god, that was such a weird way to call an entire week), you were assigned a room of your own.
In the game, you recalled there were only four rooms, but in this one, in reality, there were more. It would make sense, you thought as you observed your own room that’s still rather barren of decoration.
You could just think of what to place into it later.
Another 168 hours go by and you’re entertained by either the little music player in the parlor, or helping Pompom. You spoke to Himeko and Welt from time to time, but it felt Ike you were a bit… out of place. Now that you thought about it you realized they were far more mature than you were, and it wouldn’t be lie either.
While it was nice to have something close to a parental figure, you knew they couldn’t entertain whatever it was that you craved. You realized you’re surprisingly a bit more childish than you thought, especially for a cosmic entity.
You were starting to feel a little antsy though, and decided you’d go back to your main body for a while to fuck around— yeah, you should do that, you thought as you nodded to yourself.
You stood from your bed and made your way out of your room to find either Himeko or Welt so you could tell them you’d be leaving for a while.
Pompom seemed to pout a little at the thought of your absence when you spoke to them about it, but their emotions were quelled when you had mentioned promising them trinkets.
You bid the three farewell, and your body eventually dissipated.
———————
“What the fork are you looking at me for, darlin’?”
Oh wow. You thought as you blinked. “Nothing, I just thought you look rather… interesting, that’s all.” You said. You meant to say handsome, but you didn’t want to be creepy to the cyborg as much as you loved him. It was a little embarrassing to admit now, considering that he was just as real as you were, that you were probably his biggest fan.
“What brings someone like you in a place like this? You don’t fudging look like you’d be into the shady business, unless…” He doesn’t finish the sentence, taking a swing of the strong smelling shot of whiskey handed over to him by the bartender.
How did you even end up here? Simple, you got bored in the parlor car.
You left the express, went to your body, chose a random planet and saw Boothill and decided to make an appearance because why not? It wasn’t exactly everyday you would get to interact with a cool cowboy (probably the coolest space cowboy), so you made the spontaneous decision to simply appear as you were in this little.. town and entered the tavern.
“I got bored.” You said, swirling the drink on your hand that would undoubtedly send you to a hospital for alcohol poisoning had you been an actual human. You took an entire gulp and made a face afterwards. Boothill laughed.
“How do you even enjoy this? It tastes like battery acid and fire.” You grimaced, but you took more sips of the drink despite your own comment. “Anyways, I was bored, and I saw this place and thought: hmmm why not? It feels weirdly liberating in a way.” You confessed.
“Not that much of a stickler for rules despite being dressed like a goody two shoes huh? That’s fudging funny.” The glass clinked, and Boothill’s attention still remained on you funnily enough.
“I’m not nice.” You frowned. “I just dress like this because it’s nice to pretend to be a pretentious bastard sometimes. Plus, it’s cute.” You bristle, and he only smiled at you.
You found that Boothill’s surprisingly way too easy to speak to.
“Sure, sure.” He waved a hand. He doesn’t believe you, and in the far corners of your mind you heard Aha’s laughter. Great, you inwardly groaned, but at least it was just Aha. Then you realized they might just fuck around with you AND have people know you’re an Aeon so they could look at you— maybe not today, but at some point in time.
You felt your lips thin at the thought.
Your attention snapped back to Boothill when you saw him glance at a few people, probably lackeys, in a way that you could describe as nasty. Then you suddenly remembered the posters outside in passing.
“Hey darlin, you might wanna hide your pretty face under the table right now. There’s about to be fork load of bullets, don’t want any one of them grazing your face.” Boothill muttered over to you. And you realizing what was happening and what he was going to do, you played along, slowly sliding under the table as he took out a gun. “‘Bout time these motherfudgers showed up.”
It didn’t take two seconds and hell broke loose.
You felt bad for the bartender.
Patrons screamed and some women ran out as you heard gunshots, and suddenly you felt the urge to poke your head out of the table to see the action. It wasn’t like you’d die if a bullet hit you, it would be embarrassing for an Aeon to die by a mere bullet.
You whistled, then gaped as you witnessed this absolute unit of a man literally moonwalk his way out of the bullets. You felt like a little kid watching an action movie, except you had front seats, and this was very much reality.
“Behind you!” You warned Boothill, and he made a show of shooting the lackey (that you now recognized was an IPC grunt) in a way that got you clapping with joy. “Beat their ass mister! Fuck ‘em up!” You cheered, and one of the grunts tried coming for you instead. You weren’t a coward though, and instead grabbed a chair and threw it as hard as you could.
You heard a grunt and a really ugly crack that you know that definitely wasn’t the wooden chair. “Eugh.” You cringed, feeling a little bad about co-signing the man’s obituary but coming for you with a weapon in hand was just natural selection waiting to happen.
Now that you were out of the bag, you grabbed another heavy chair and decided you’d give Boothill an easier time by helping. “I don’t know what’s going on, but damn I feel bad for the owner of the establishment.” You said loudly through the sound of gunshots, Boothill laughed again as another man had been shot down.
“Yap later darlin! You should worry about the side of your fudging head first!” Just as he said that, you threw the chair at one of the final three lackeys. And like the other one who you took out, this one too went out to board his one way ticket to god.
The establishment had gone completely quiet aside from your breathing and the sound of Boothill’s engine quietly whirring.
“Is it over?” You asked, hopeful.
“Yep.” The cyborg drawled.
You released a sympathetic “oof” at the state of the tavern though. “This place is a wreck.” You said flatly.
“Don’t worry too much about that, they’ll take care of it.”
“Okay….” You exhaled. “Wow.. that was.. a lot.” You eyed the bodies, frowning as you prayed your default appearance won’t end up in a wanted poster. Scratch that, it probably would.
“Didn’t know you’re darn crazy like that though.” Boothill spoke, patting off the nonexistent dust off of his pistol.
“Yeah sorry.” You muttered, then clearing your throat. “I felt bad for them but I realized they’re capitalists for a certain corporate office. They can go die in a ditch.” You shrugged, you don’t grieve this time, maybe you would at some point in the future when you’re wiser.
“Also, it wouldn’t hurt to help a friend out I think.” You said, though you’re uncertain as to how Boothill would react to such a sentence.
“Oh fudge me sideways, care to shake my hand? The name’s Boothill.” He grinned, teeth sharp like a shark’s as he held out his metal hand for you to grasp.
Oh I know very well who you are, you thought, not that he would ever know that. You grasp his hand and introduced yourself, happy that he actually likes you.
You eventually had to part ways with him for the day, having each other as contacts through the phone (Welt was kind enough to give you one of your own) so you could keep in touch.
You ended up spending the remainder of your time in that little town looking around for souvenirs to pocket just for Pompom. Now where did you get your money? It’s a little mean, but you looted them off of the IPC bodies.
It’s blood money, but it’s money regardless. And if the people who initially owned it were rich and dead? Then you don’t have to feel bad about pocketing it, you were free to do as you wanted.
Getting back to the parlor car was easy, making your presence known to the beloved little conductor who very much anticipated your presents.
“[Name], where’d you get the money to buy all this?” Welt asked as he inspected the personalized mug you gave him. (It was a neat wooden mug with his name carved on it, Himeko had one of her own too.)
You merely smiled innocently.
Welt sighed, he shouldn’t have asked.

Part I, Part II (HERE), Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI, Part VII….
AAAND THATS A WRAP UP FOR THE CHAPTER FOLKS! And yes, reader is a litttle unhinged (curse being a cosmic entity, they’re a little dubious as a treat). And YES they’re a big Boothill fan (like me), like come on who doesn’t wanna hang around a cool space cowboy who has a censored vocabulary of a COD lobby?

nsfw, yaoshi x fem!reader, multiple limbs, slight nipple play, orgasm denial turned overstimulation, cum eating
Tumblr media
the first time you met them was a moment of utter amazement. how could you not immediately become yaoshi's number one fan after seeing their majestic antlers, resembling a pair of growing branches? the way they sat elegantly atop a large branch with a smiling face? if you didn't know better, you would've mistaken them as the aeon of beauty.
they are also the kindest and most selfless creature you've ever encountered, willing to hold you up just so that you can get a better view at their antlers—even letting you run your hands over the smooth surface, no matter how silly your request sounds.
one day, you ask them: "do aeons reproduce?"
yaoshi's ever-present smile curls up a bit higher, amused by such a strange question, "well, my dear, it is difficult to find a suitable mate with our condition—for example: having to keep watch over humanity and the possibility of putting our lover in harm's way are few of the things that hinder us from doing so."
you tilt your head, humming in understanding, "so that means you can reproduce? just having difficulty doing so?"
still being mysterious, the plagues author scoops you up using one of their hands, "if you really want to know... the answer is no, not with such a fragile thing like yourself," you sigh in disappointment, and the aeon smiles at how adorable you are, adding: "but if you want to feel how an aeon please their lover, i certainly can do that for my little flower" they chuckle softly, the melodious sound filling the domain they had created for you.
and that's how you end up here, laying on the ground with your legs spread open and yaoshi's fingers sliding in and out of your warm hole. just like their gentle nature, their pace is also slow and steady, making you desperate and whine in desperation.
"please, yaoshi—ngh..." the aeon places their other hand on top of your mouth, pushing their fingers inside for you to suck on, while shaking their head, "not yet, my dear. can you hold it in for me?"
you mewl in disappointment, hips grinding down on their hand only to be held down in place by yaoshi's other two hands. they don't even need to use ropes or cuffs—one of the perks about having multiple limbs.
"you are so small... i am afraid i might break this tiny and beautiful body of yours." yaoshi murmurs, licking their lips at the sight of your slick and swollen cunt, so ready and eager for them.
however, they notice how your breasts and neck barely get any attention and lean their head down to pepper your body with kisses. their teeth are surprisingly sharp, instantly marking your skin with reddish marks and rings of teeth.
the aeon of abundance grins in satisfaction at the masterpiece they just create, before going back up to kiss your face, not a single inch of flesh is left unkissed. yaoshi is just so in love with you, a sweet darling eager to learn more about them.
"your voice is like a melody from the most beautiful song in the entire galaxy, rivaling the choirs of the sanctus medicus." they muse, picking up the pace of their digits. yaoshi had make sure to clip their nails before inserting them into you, for as much as they love hearing you cry their name in pleasure, the aeon can't risk injuring you.
truthfully, they are just as aroused as you. how could they not be, when you're writhing beneath their arms, whining their name and moaning at the way the aeon's fingers are skillfully massaging your insides—yet they know better than to penetrate you with the risk of turning you into a mindless vessel, just like the mara-struck citizens of the xianzhou.
yaoshi still has three other hands, and he decide to use them to massage your boobs, pinching and twisting on the nipples. you're so sensitive and vulnerable now, unable to resist the god's touch.
when your walls begin to throb around their fingers, yaoshi kisses you on the lips and nod, giving you their permission, no, command to cum—and who are you to defy the wish of an aeon?
"yaoshi, i can't—" you squeal, releasing your sweet and sticky juices around their slender and long digits. the aeon smiles softly, taking in the sight of your slick covering their fingers and drips down to the grass.
they place their fingers in their mouth, humming in delight at the rich and sweet taste. if yaoshi had to describe the taste, he'd say you taste like the sweetest flower not even they can produce.
"i think i may have to keep you here with me, sweetheart. i would hate to share your unforgettable taste to anyone else."

"Why did you do that?"
Standing by the Aeon's side, your tone was withdrawn, yet curious. Shrouded in starlit clouds, the two of you watched as the Xianzhou ships sailed off into the distance, blessed and cursed with hope and immortality.
Your Aeon hummed to themselves, their voice sickly sweet as nectar, but did not speak yet. You crossed your arms, fixing them with a steady glare.
"That immortality you gave them," you continued, "you do know its consequences, no?"
Yaoshi raised their head, that ever-sweet smile still on their face. You frowned.
"You gave them a curse," you accused.
Their countless eyes, carved into their skin, flickered to you, fixing you with their eternal gaze. One of their many hands reached out and cradled your face within its hands, careful not to scratch you with their sharpened nails.
"Perhaps," they mused, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face. Despite your interrogation, Yaoshi was unphased, tranquil, calm. "Does that displease you?"
You met their gaze, a gaze that would've brought thousands of mortals to their knees, with nothing more than a blank stare.
"No."
Yaoshi smiled, something akin to laughter escaping their lips. "Then why question me?"
"Mortals are curious," you replied, watching as Yaoshi took your chin between their fingers, their thumb swiping over your lips. "I may not be one now, but I still retain their traits."
"Mm." Yaoshi tilted their head, watching for even a trace of a reaction. But you gave none. They didn't mind, though. Mortals were fascinating creatures, and you were no different. Getting you to break was always an entertaining game.
"They are resigned to a cruel fate," they spoke gingerly, smooth as silk. "Confined to such a short lifespan, unable to spread their wings and fly across the skies like they were meant to."
"Humans don't have wings," you said, raising a brow.
"Not yet." Yaoshi silenced you, closing your lips with their thumb. "But they can learn to. Now that time is their luxury, those wings can finally begin to unfurl."
Gently, you grabbed their wrist, stilling their fingers so that you could speak.
"Have you tried becoming a playwright?" you asked. "You've gotten quite good at flowery words."
"You think so?" Yaoshi pressed a hand to their cheek, smiling innocently. "A compliment from you is quite rare. I'll treasure this moment for centuries."
"I was calling you a liar," you sighed, exasperated yet used to their antics.
"A cruel claim," they replied, their other arms wrapping around your waist, "for an act of generosity."
"They'll become twisted," you said as they pulled you into their lap, your hand on their chest. "It's a cruel gift."
"But a gift nevertheless." They cradled you against them, looking down so that your noses brushed together. "I merely delivered what was asked of me. Whatever happens now, is a result of the fate they wove with their own hands."
"If you say so," you murmured, tilting your head, your lips almost meeting theirs - but still apart. Yaoshi giggled at your actions, heeding your silent request.
They kissed you softly, holding the back of your head to keep you in place. Pulling away, they licked their lips.
"Insatiable," they whispered. It seemed that every part of you was held in their hands, from the plush of your thighs to the back of your waist, and of course your face. "The Path of Abundance yields boundless grain and dew, and yet it cannot fill in what you have given me."
"Is that a compliment?" you asked, resting your head against their collarbone. Yaoshi did not answer, only stroked your head as you rested against them.
And from your divine throne, you watched. Watched as the Xianzhou ships disappeared into the cosmos, embarked on a future of pain and suffering.
You closed your eyes, content.

Reader is isekai'ed as an aeon and debates an emanator. See end for author's notes. Incomplete but can be used as a base for other works.
Where am I?
Waking up to a vast empty space had been a shock you had quickly come to terms with. You weren't entirely sure what you did that caused you to end up here. The day before you had gone to work, taken classes, played your favorite game and then went to bed.
Waking up as an eldritch being the next morning hadn't been in your plans, but you were making do. You opened your many eyes to gaze around the area around you. Shifting so many limbs took awhile to get used to. Actually, it took awhile to just get used to your body. A small floating ball in the distance caught one of your many eyes.
Shifting your prespective around to face the distant ball, you summoned the will to form many wings to propel you in the direction of it.
Shapeshifting was an awesome power in your mind. You could pretty much look like whatever you wanted as long as you had the imagination for it. You were quickly approaching the ball. Space matter quickly floating by you as you floated towards the ball.
It was a planet. That made sense, you were in space afterall. It was a small, green planet. Or maybe you were just big? You didn't quite know if it was you that was big or if it was the planet that was small. Maybe you could talk to the small ship like things floating around it?
You spoke, but nothing happened. No matter how loud you got, nothing was responding to you. The things around the planet were very obviously ships now that you looked at them. They were flitting and fluttering around the planet. You went to plan B.
Gently, you reached out a tendril of energy and tapped the planet. In hindsight, it should have been obvious that you would blow up the planet just from your sheer size. Tapping the planet had blown up the planet and sent the rest of the solar system into a domino effect of supernovas.
After that, you decided to not touch anything else small with obvious signs of life. Instead, you turned your attention to yourself. What else could you do?
Time did not seem to matter to you as you experimented with your newfound powers. Shapeshifting was easy. After a few hours though you still could not figure out what you were doing. It was like you were in a cage and the boundaries were made of glass. An idea came to mind. Maybe you should break those boundries?
Focusing on the edges where you thought a cage was, you attempted to break it. Thick slashes appeared in the space where you imagined breaking it. Slipping into the cream seemed to teleport you. The area around was far more lively then the previous area.
Ships fluttered and floated near your form. Thick whisps of cloud like substance was around you from the use of your powers. Ships that entered it were either absorbed or lost when they entered deep enough.
Your appearence seemed to startle them. Many fled in droves away from you. The longer you watched them the sadder you became. Were you meant for a lonely life in this universe? Were there any other beings like you that wouldn't immediately be destroyed by your power?
You floated away from the civilization you had happened upon. The clouds followed you as you left. You attempted to teleport again. Somewhere away from here, deep in space. Your shattered the glass again and slipped into the cracks.
Empty space greeted you. The distant stars providing light. You couldn't hurt anyone out here. You and they were safe out here in the nothingness.
You discovered that you were in a Video Game when the aeon Yaoshi appeared in front of you after your nap. If you had a human body you probably would have shit you pants at your unexpected guest. The Crisis you were about to have was pushed into the back of your mind at Yaoshi's voice.
THEIR limbs gently prodded at the wings that you kept yourself moving with. You would not lie, Yaoshi was very pretty. You were starting at THEM with your many eyes.
THEY tilted THEIR head at you, decorated horns glowing as they did so. THEIR many eyes watched you curiously.
"Who may you be?" THEIR voice was like a gentle breeze. You were unsure of how to respond. Were you an aeon? You didn't want to use you actual name as you aeon name. You needed something cool! But, just what were you aeon of. A gentle smile appeared on THEIR face at your silence.
"Oh, it is quite alright if you do not have a name yet. I am Yaoshi of the Abundance. I felt a strong being nearby, so I came to see who the new being was. Your very beautiful." THEIR vines gently swayed as THEY sat on them. "I must go though, There are those who still need my help. It was wonderful to meet you." THEY dissappeared in a flurry of leaves and branches. Leaving just as soon as they came.
You floated in space, stunned. Reality hitting you like a sack of bricks. A train hitting you would be better used to describe your shocked state.
You were in Honkai: Star Rail. You were an aeon. Sweet heavens you were an aeon! What god decided that you should be an aeon. What were you even over? What if you got ate just like Ena did? Any closed eyes quickly snapped open at your next thought.
Oh god, what if you ate another aeon? The crisis you were having quickky drowned any other thought in you mind.
Far off in another galaxy, the scientific community was reeling. The sudden appearence and disappearance in an unknown aeon had thrown the community into caos. Just what was this aeon? No records held anything about this aeon or anything involving this form of aeon. The genius society was digging through old records and creating new ones. Anything involving aeons was recorded, even just a simple appeareance.
The leading theory was that this was a new aeon. Perhaps this recently born aeon's curiosity had led it to appearing? Uneasiness grew in some communities over this new aeon. Where would this aeon stand in the grand scheme of things. Would it be helping or going against humanity? Would THEY be an Author of Calamity or an Arbiter?
Back where you were located, you had finally come to terms with what you were and where you were. You knew you couldn't continue to float endlessly in space like this. You came up with a plan. First, learn and experiment with your powers. Second, try to do good things and not be a bad guy. Third, enjoy your life and newfound powers.
Thus, Began the years of playing with your powers and expanding your mind. You discovered that you could comprehend things far better and faster then the average human. Discovering your path had taken some time though.
You could only assume that your abilities had something to do with boundaries. Of what you did not understand. Was it pushing the limits to see how the universe worked? Was it breaking the boundaries between space to warp yourself across the universe? You only knew that anytime you thought of something as a boundary, you could break it and mold it to your needs. With limitations, of course. No bringing the dead back to life, yet.
You discovered ways to gaze upon diffrent galaxies without moving from your spot. Quietly watching and observing the workings of the universe around you.
The sounds of laughter and jingling trinkets broke you from your trance. You opened the eyes to gaze behind you. Aha had taken the time to come and see you.
You had met a few other aeons besides Yaoshi in the few short years. The only one who you regularly saw was Aha. THEY had forced you into an unwilling friendship with them.
You listened as they blabbered on about something. Something about making a worm one of THEIR emanators. The heads had broken out into more crying laughter at the thought of what THEY did. You half-heartly listened to THEIR rambling.
You didn't mind Aha too much, but you could only handle THEM for so long.
"You should have seen the look on your followers faces." Aha's heads broke out into howling laughter. What followers? "They seemed shocked at what I told them."
You didn't get anymore information or if the Aeon though. THEY left without giving you the chance to question them. What followers? You didn't Happen to hear or see anyone following your path. You focused back onto the galaxy before you.
For the next who knows how many years you would watch. Aha had been right. The humans had taken to calling you Menshen. That was alright, your real name was going to be kept for someone who you truly cared for. That thought had made the transition from your true name into the aeon called Menshen easier.
In order to keep to the rules of aeonhood, you decided to make those who pushed the boundaries of reality your emanators. Though, no one has yet to impress you enough for you to really make an emanator.
Surprsingly, it would only be a few years later that you discovered three potential candidates. Dr.Ratio had caught your eye first. Though much younger then he was in-game, he was pushing boundaries with his hunger for knowledge. He wasn't the first person like that you had seen. Unlike the others though, he sought to share this knowledge. Boundaries couldn't be pushed if only a few select people had the knowledge to push them back.
Loucha had been another option. Before he went on his journey with the coffin, you had found that he was on the search for immortality. Not the kind Yaoshi gave, but one to help the people. The only way you could describe it was as if the line between life and death were to be blended together until they were one. If he could not achieve that, then he at least wanted to make it so there was no suffering from illness and things of that nature. Pushing the boundaries of life and death were worthy of being an emanator in your eyes, even if he was not focused on that goal anymore or at the moment.
March 7th had caught your eye. Though she did not push any boundaries, she wasn't truly tethered to any one path. Instead of her pushing boundaries, it would be you. Often, aeons did not chose emanators it they did not follow THEIR path or have similar values. The exception was Aha, but he did things for the sheer joy of it. The boundary you would be pushing or breaking by having her be an emanator would be the traditional sense of aeons choosing emanators.
Aeons could not stray from THEIR path or THEY would lose power. What if you choose someone just the giggles? No rules would be broken, just the sense of how an emanator should be chosen.
Of course, it didn't HAVE go be March 7th you picked to be emanator. You could have gone with anyone like Pom-Pom or Yanqing, but as one of the first characters you ever got, March held a special place in your heart.
Your were biased in your choosing you would not lie. The playable characters just had something special to them. You mulled over your choices. Who to choose?

Does aeon of dreams reader has emanators? I think someone inspired by the sandman myth would be pretty cool
AEON OF DREAMS! READER HEADCANNONS
Tumblr media
Yes! Their worshippers in general are called Dreamers or Those that Enter the Majesty’s Domain.
Their missionaries/emanators are called Sleepwalkers. Their churches are called Chambers/Domains of Fantasies and the main one is named after their resting place “The Cradle”
Note: It’s important to distinguish between the Sleepwalkers that are completely loyal to Aeon of Dreams! Reader alone and their eternal sleep, to those that believe they should be awoken and also believe in Nanook.
There are also the extremists that force other people into perma sleep called the Heralds of the Sleeping Death. Similar to the Sandman myth but imagine an army of people throwing dust that instantly puts you into a siesta . . . except that early afternoon of yours lasts for an eternity.
There are also like - whole ass denominations that are all just based on a ship with another Aeon.
Yaoshi x Reader ? That’s the Abundant Trance / Trance in Abundance denomination that aside from vehemently shipping the two believe that sleep is the best medicine.
Qilipoth x Reader ? The Preservation of the Fantasy denomination . They believe in cryogenesis to preserve one’s sleeping state to forever dream.
IX x Reader? You think that real life is worthless and just want to sleep forever and indulge the dreams you can actually control? Join the club kid. It’s called the Void in Reality, Infinity in Dormancy.
and ofc Nanook x Reader. Sleepwalkers turned Anti Sleep Legion turned Anti Matter Legion. There are pretty chill ones that just don’t like sleep at all and are interested in ways to keep themselves awake as much as possible. But most of them believe that sleep is a cage they need to help other people to be liberated from.
And those aren’t even the extreme members that are all like “cool imma destroy everything and myself so that my two gods can live happily ever after. im gonna sleep eternally in the afterlife anyways. byeee-“
if people are interested ill edit in all the denominations based on ships lol but for now have those (im specifically hoping to write the erudition/hunt x reader denominations cause those would be interesting imo)
